Safety & Security
The safety and security of our products is of paramount importance to us and to our customers. All our products conform to relevant national standards including
- Building Regulations Part L (April 2002)
- BS 5368 Part 1: 1976 and BS 6375 Part 1: 1989 for air permeability and weather tightness.
- BS 6262 for Glazed Buildings
- BS 6206 for impact performance
- BS 8220 for security of buildings against crime
- BS 7619 for PVC-u building profiles
- BS 7950 for improved security if casement and tilt & turn windows
We exclusively fit Pilkington K Glass™ as standard on all installations and specially toughened Pilkington K Glass™ on all doors and low level glazing, as per the requirements of BS6206. Changes to the Building Regulations (Part L) aim to improve the thermal efficiency of all buildings and set out mandatory requirements for replacement windows and windows in new buildings. With Pilkington K Glass™ incorporated into a suitable insulating unit you can be sure that all windows installed by AWC (UK) Ltd easily meet these requirements. Our doors utilise 'police-preferred soldsecure' paddock lockmaster hook multipoint locking systems.
